Archive your photos onto a disc
Bring your old slides into the 21st Century by having them scanned onto a USB or disc, or converting them into a digital Slideshow.
Kodachrome, Ektachrome, Agfachrome, Perutz, GAF, Fujichrome, Pacific, Ansco and more. Some of these names are still around, but many are now just a memory.
In the 50's, 60's and 70's colour slides (transparencies) were very popular & many people still remember being invited around to a friend's place for a "slide night"!
Whilst parents & grandparents may remember seeing their slides, many children & grand children have never seen the slides, but may be in them when they were much younger!
Do more with your slides & preserve your memories.
By having them scanned to disc, you can get prints from them, email them, print them at home, or have a DVD Slideshow made of all the images.
Most importantly, you can stop the ageing process, and preserve the slides onto standard or archival CD's or DVD's.
If you give them to us in the slide trays or carousels, we will scan them in that order for you. If they are in boxes, just number them, and we will follow your instructions.
All slides are cleaned and then checked & corrected (where possible) for colour & density before we scan them. We do not “bulk scan” your treasured slides – we actually look at EVERY one of them before scanning.
Another great positive with having your slides digitised is that you can copy the files (or ask us to do it for you) & share the photos with everyone in the family. It makes it far easier to help put together family details & history.
We can also scan onto USB drives or Archival CD’s or DVD’s which have lives of over 100 years. Slides can be scanned at different resolutions, depending on what you want to do with the files.
Here are the resolution details for 35mm slides.
- Preview Scans (Special Request Only)
1024x1545 pixels, which will generate a 4.5mb file - Standard Scans
2048x3072 pixels, which will generate a 17mb file - Pro Res (Ultra) Scans (Special Request Only)
4492x6774 pixels, which will generate an 80mb file
We can also scan 110, 126, 127, Agfa Rapid, X Pan & medium format slides & most other old or unusual formats & film.
